BKD, LLP Business Development Executive | Healthcare Performance Advisory Services in Kansas City, Missouri

BKD is looking to hire a Business Development Executive to work closely with colleagues to increase sales within the BKD Health Care Performance Advisory Team (HCPAS).

Responsibilities include full-cycle sales including external target identification, securing and managing prospect meetings, listening and understanding prospect needs, addressing prospect concerns/objections, working with BKD Subject Matter Experts in defining opportunities, proposing solutions, negotiating, obtaining SOWs, and closing deals.

The Business Development Executive will be expected to have a strong board presence and quickly develop credibility with prospects and build trust through professionalism and knowledge of services and products. This location can be based out of Kansas City, MO, Springfield, MO, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, or Indianapolis, IN.

What You Will Do:

  • Prospect accounts focusing on existing and new HCPAS products and services

  • Identify and develop new accounts and follow up on existing leads

  • Contact prospective customers using networking, referrals from current customers, advance RFP postings, procurement calendars, and professional organization meetings, conferences, and workshops.

  • Work collaboratively with other assembled members of BKD to design, develop, and publish proposal documents

  • Be responsible for overseeing “pipeline” for new business and capture efforts, ensuring the accuracy of the data for all opportunities assigned under this position.

  • Participate in the development of annual and long-range strategic account plans

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key target accounts to generate both incremental and repeatable annual business

  • Collaborate with BKD’s HCPAS leadership and SMEs to maximize account coverage

A Successful Trusted Advisor Has:

  • Proven track record of setting and meeting sales goals and performance metrics

  • Motivation to succeed, is a self-starter and always striving for the win, and ready to champion BKD’s HCPAS solutions to prospects in a team setting

  • Experience in managing relationships with healthcare prospects

  • Strong sense of ownership on issues and following through to completion

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills especially when dealing with C-Level executives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field; Master’s of Healthcare Administration (MHA) preferred

  • 8 years or more of relevant industry experience

  • 5 or more years of experience with business development

  • Ability to understand and sell margin improvement service offerings including:

  • Revenue Cycle (end to end)

  • Hospital and Physician Practice Operations

  • Labor Productivity

  • Supplies and Materials Management

  • 340B and Pharmacy Services

  • Value-Based Reimbursement Operations
