About This Job

The Utility Specialist position is responsible for performing a variety of functions within Deposit/Trust Operations including the following: filling in for various clerical level jobs as the need arises whether due to peak time of month or year, conversion issues, leave of absence etc. They may also work on projects and must consistently look for process improvement initiatives. The incumbent must be knowledgeable about the many departments and job functions throughout the Division.

Essential Functions

  • Perform tasks of low to moderate complexity for a broad variety of positions across the operations organization (50%)

  • Meet accuracy and timeliness measures for work performed (25%)

  • Identify process improvements leveraging experience and knowledge from other areas and collaborate on implementation (20%)

  • Perform other duties as assigned (5%)

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required

  • Position may be filled as a level I (Representative) or level II (Specialist) depending upon skills & experience

  • Basic knowledge of the banking industry, including best practices

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and casts a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Ability to learn new processes quickly

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail

  • Agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work off-shifts as necessary

  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Education & Experience

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

  • 1+ years financial services or related experience required

  • 3+ years customer service experience required
