Description

Candidates who can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer Accounts Receivable issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to General Ledger, will be preferred for this position. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role, based in the Kansas City, Missouri region, is a full-time position and offers fantastic benefits.
Your responsibilities in this role
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Supply shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders with information as requested
Enter and balance financial data in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
Verify documents and codes
Correspond with clients to resolve payment issues and set up payment plans
Carry out, convey, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the company
Requirements
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
5+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable/billing
Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Foundational knowledge in Enter Invoices
Customer invoices experience highly desired
Billing experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
AIA Billing experience required
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
