An Accounting Analyst prepares journal entries and financial analysis for entity financial statements for management that includes insights on drivers and trends. An Accounting Analyst responds to department requests for financial data and provides interpretation of financial reports, accounting policies, or accounting regulations. An Accounting Analyst performs independent research to guarantee the proper accounting treatment of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and prepares account reconciliations for high risk accounts and for assigned entities. An Accounting Analyst may be responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure journal entries are appropriate and that reconciliations are completed, timely and accurately and contain necessary documentation. An Accounting Analyst provides guidance to other team members on complex transactions to provide opportunities for cross-training and development. An Accounting Analyst identifies and leads process improvements from beginning to end, including standardized processes and technology enhancement. The position requires the ability to plan/lead projects, develop and adhere to time lines, multi-task on various work flows, develop work processes meeting internal control guidelines, interpret accounting guidance,, and maintain skills and work at the highest level to produce accurate and timely financial reports.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
5 years’ experience (or Master's Degree in Accounting & 3 years' experience)
Must have the ability to utilize multiple systems and forms of information to reconcile accounts and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to think critically and problem solve
Good judgement skills
Solid Excel skills, ability to learn new IT systems
Software Application Skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
