Job Description

Purpose:

The Sales Transaction Specialist provides support through the Finance department by administrating and facilitating sales transaction processes associated with key customer and channel programs that drive sales.

Responsibilities

Incumbent is responsible for administrating many department processes accurately and on a timely basis. They should be able to identify process areas for improvement and work with the Sales Operations, Finance, Credit, and IT teams to develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities. This person will report to a Finance Manager but has strong connections to internal and external sales personnel.

The accurate and timely processing of sales transaction activities and payments as well as courteous and timely customer engagements are essential to successful execution of our sales programs.

  • Manage and provide administrative oversight for PCPP and Builder rebate processes related to approx. $50M in business

  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Finance partners to administrate and pay buying group and national account programs

  • Manage and administrate the warehouse adjustment process accurately and on a timely basis which have a measurable impact on sales reporting and commissions

  • Institute check and control measures to validate quality and accuracy

  • Proactively identify areas of process opportunities

  • Consistently demonstrates behavior that displays ownership, accountability and ability to adapt from feedback and business changes

  • Cross-train with other analysts

  • Content with engaging in repeatable processes but demonstrates ongoing continuous improvement behaviors

Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. degree in a business-related field from a 4-year college or university. Individual must have a demonstrated attention to detail with a focus on process as well as customer service. The incumbent must be able to complete activities on a timely basis and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The individual must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and a high standard of ethics.
