Facebook is looking for an experienced people manager to join Facebook's Deal Desk team; a part of our Partnerships Operations & Insights organization. Our team's mission is to design and optimize processes, programs, and operations to accelerate sustainable growth for Facebook’s Business Development Partnerships Teams. This role will specifically support some of Facebook’s most exciting early stage partnerships businesses, including Audience Network, WhatsApp, Workplace, Payments, and Business Messaging.In this role, you will lead a team of Program Managers, whose primary responsibilities are to design, implement and support incentive programs targeted at accelerating product and business objectives for Facebook’s emerging business units. As a team lead, your primary responsibility will be to manage and develop the careers of the individual contributors on the team, providing them with clear expectations, and enabling them to have impact at Facebook. You will also interface with leaders from across the company to develop cross-functional working relationships with Legal, Finance, Accounting, and our Partnerships Businesses. You will lead the strategic planning for new incentive programs, drive transparency and accountability through ROI analyses, and develop operating models for the team to scale in partnership with other Deal Desk pillars. The ideal candidate will be a talented People Manager, with experience building teams in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Finance, or Sales. This candidate will have exceptional communication, cross-functional leadership, and execution skills. Experience in the B2B SaaS ecosystem, both with direct and in-direct channels will be a significant plus.
Manage, develop, and support a team of individual contributors, nurturing their careers through active day-to-day coaching and skills development, building a team culture of inclusivity.
Lead the Program Management function for Deal Desk internally, refining functional roles and responsibilities, assessing new internal engagements, and leading the annual planning process.
Design internal operating models to engage with critical partner teams including Deal Desk Operations, Business Unit stakeholders, and cross-functional partners in Legal, Accounting, Finance, Product, Product Marketing, and Compliance.
Develop foundational KPI frameworks, and partner with internal teams to report, track, and communicate the ROI of Deal Desk initiatives.
Serve as a key strategic partner to leaders running each Business Unit across Product, Sales and Partnerships.
Hire and on-board new talent, as needed, developing a diverse and high impact team.
Own all logistics, coordination, and facilitation for regular team meetings, documenting and presenting summaries of internal project work to Partnerships leadership.
Predict roadblocks and obstacles and prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions, while proactively raising issues for the team before they become a problem.
12+ years of work experience in one or more of the following: Deal Desk within the Consumer Tech, SaaS, Enterprise B2B, or Business Messaging industries
4+ years of People management experience, with a demonstrated experience growing and developing individual career paths
Sales, Partnerships, & Business Development expertise, with demonstrated experience understanding and communicating legal, commercial, regulatory, and operational risk across any business function and type
A proven track record of developing teams, building new stakeholder relationships, and designing scaled solutions to delivering services to internal and external stakeholders
Experience using data to create compelling stories that communicate key messages across the organization and to influence various levels of management
Problem solving and analysis experience including solving complex business challenges (commercial, operational, financial)
Experience working in a fast-moving, often uncertain environment and to adapt to new teams, roles and responsibilities in an ongoing fashion
MBA or advanced degree
Channel program experience (Selling through partners)
Experience in deal management, negotiation and structuring contracts or business agreements
Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
Experience in presenting to and influencing leadership at all levels of an organization
