Robert Half International Accounting Clerk in INDEPENDENCE, Missouri
Description Accountemps is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for an esteemed company. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity based in the Independence, Missouri area.
Key responsibilities
Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Payroll experience required
Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) Administration
