JOB SUMMARY
This job has enterprise-wide responsibility for creating and driving supplier diversity program strategy. Thei ncumbent acts as a strategic business partner, interfacing at various levels of the company, providing leadership and guidance on program support. The incumbent is also the face of the program in the external business community; to support that leadership the job will be accountable for: 1) supplier diversity spend analysis to provide guidance on strategy, 2) project management of various diversity programs including public events, 3) managing communications with executive steering committees, Diversity & Inclusion Board Members, and external stakeholder groups, 4) compliance management related to government program requirements, and 5) collaboration with stakeholders and prospective and incumbent suppliers. Maintains a high profile within the enterprise and business community. Leads an executive steering committee comprised of VPs and above across the enterprise. Will also be highly engaged in the external community, providing a Highmark voice and presence at a local, state, and national level. Will drive innovation that causes the enterprise to be seen as "thought leaders" and an industry standard bearer.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishment of Supplier Diversity program objectives and measures, reporting of measures to impacted stakeholders and development of business plans to advance performance to measures.
Executive stakeholder, Board and Community engagement to advance the objectives of the Highmark Supplier Diversity Program.Leadership of Highmark enterprise Executive Steering Committee on Supplier Diversity.
Supplier Registration process management including outreach to registered suppliers, introduction to appropriate business and Procurement stakeholders and associated follow-up.
Performing analysis to identify trends, opportunities, data inconsistences with timely reports to includeDiverse supplier spend and Category spend and opportunity analysis.
Program reporting for Government and Commercial agreements to ensure contractual compliance.
Voice of Supplier Diversity within the enterprise, presenting to stakeholders on the importance of supplier diversity for the Highmark enterprise.
Significant Community engagement at a Local, State and National Level to provide a Highmark voice and presence in guiding policy and practices and furthering Company interests.
Deliver program innovation driving world class outcomes and outperformance of peer companies (e.g., industry standard bearer performance).
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Pre-Law
