The Boeing Company T - 38 Deputy Program Management Specialist in Hazelwood, Missouri
Boeing Global Services (BGS) in Hazelwood , MO is seeking a T–38 Deputy Program Management Specialist ( Level 4 ) to join our T-38 Avionics Component Integration Program team. In this role, the focus will be on development and execution of high visibility BGS projects. In addition, the successful candidate will be involved in all the aspects of daily program execution, which includes leadership and oversight of production relating to a diverse offering of support functional elements, such as field services, supply chain, sustainment engineering, logistics data, and various ongoing retrofit efforts on the T-38C fleet.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)
Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance mgmt & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives
Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements
Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan
Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans
Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management
Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
Provides in depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plans
Provides input of team member performance to management, where appropriate
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills / Experience ):
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of experience in a role developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes/skills
Experience assembling and delivering key briefings to both senior leadership as well as through the organization
Experience working with government contracts (e.g. - Experience with Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and Cost Plus Incentive Fee contracts)
Experience working with the United States Air Force customer
Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills / Experience ):
Experience with portfolio management, plan development, pricing strategies and/or proposal development
Experience with DOD or government acquisition processes
Experience working with integrated logistics support, fleet management, supply chain management, and/or Performance Based Logistics/contracting
Current CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
Master’s degree preferred
Typical Education & Experience :
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
This position is located in Hazelwood, MO and does not offer relocation. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
