Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Instructor

Performs duties as an Instructor, with an emphasis on Chemical, Biological, and Radiological/Nuclear (CBR/N) knowledge. Provides requires training support services through Mobile Training Teams at 18 CONUS and OCONUS US Coast Guard training sites. Instructs a two-day CBRN Training course curriculum will include an introduction on the overall CBRN program and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) focusing on equipment and policy training including lectures and hands-on training in the use and maintenance of CBRN Program equipment such as Chameleon Chemical Detector, Reactive Skin Decontamination Lotion (RSDL), WMD Egress Kit, M61 Filter and JSGPM M-50 protective masks. Administers tests, practical assessments, and CBRN table top exercises (TTXs).

Education/Training –

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Instructor Training Certification (any service) or civilian equivalent

Experience –

  • 5 years’ experience as a military, law enforcement, of government public health CBRN Subject Matter Expert, OR have 5 years’ experience in an equivalent Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), OR equivalent experience in the private sector with a B.S. and 7 years of documented experience either instructing or developing instruction for CBRN training.

  • 2 years’ experience as a primary classroom instructor.

Job Requirements –

  • Ability to walk, stoop, and bend. Frequently lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

  • Maintain good physical fitness.

  • US Citizenship

  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English

Job Location –

  • Fort Leonard Wood, MO with frequent travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations. May consider work from home arrangement in support of MTTs.
