INTEGRATED FACILITY SERVICES Business/ Human Resources Intern- EEO Compliance in FENTON, Missouri

Integrated Facility Services is a leading mechanical contractor in Fenton, Missouri. We are a federal contractor and are looking for an intern for the summer and the fall semester to assist with compliance in regards to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action, as well as assistance with various projects and clerical duties in Human Resources and Accounting as needed. The anticipated hours per week would be 24 hours during the summer and 10-12 hours during the fall semester. We are seeking a candidate in a four year college that has completed their sophomore or junior year or an individual that has completed their associates degree and will be attending college in the fall. Desired majors include Human Resources, Business, Management or similar fields of study.Essential Duties include:1. Better establish and maintain minority and women's recruitment sources, as well as those for veterans and individuals with disabilities.2. Research what other companies in similar size and industry are doing in regards to diversity and inclusion3. Assist with compliance reporting including the EEO-1, VETS-4212 and preparing data for the Affirmative Action Plan4. Learn about updates in laws and regulations from the OFCCP and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and work with the Human Resources Manager to ensure compliance5. Send out required communication regarding IFS practices and good faith efforts to community partners, unions, employees and vendors6. Work with the Human Resources Manager to ensure everything in the Affirmative Action Plan for IFS is addressed7. Develop and deliver harassment training to the managers by the end of the internship8. Run new hires through E-VerifyOther duties:1. Assist with open enrollment for benefits2. Clerical assistance for Human Resources and the Accounting Department3. Occasional HR Backup in the absence of the Human Resources Manager for certain functions4. May assist with accounts payable during the busy seasonMinimum Requirements:1. Completion of sophomore year (or higher) or associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field2. Enrollment in college courses for the fall semester of 20213. Availability to work 24 hours a week during the summer and 10-12 hours per week during the fall semester between the hours of 7am-5pm Tuesday- Friday, with specific hours arranged with the Human Resources Manager depending on student availability4.
