Olin Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The position will be located at Olin’s Clayton, MO headquarters.

Essential Functions (not all inclusive):

  • Handle routine and non-routine administrative tasks with little direction from supervisor

  • Gather department data and prepare routine reports utilizing various software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Design and maintain spreadsheets

  • Assist in making travel arrangements and in submitting Expense Reports

  • Answers phone and takes messages for supervisor and staff

  • Assists with scheduling and coordinating meetings and events

  • Assists with ordering refreshments and food for lunch meetings or other special gatherings

  • Processes payment authorizations and prepares requisitions as required

  • Support other Administrative Assistants with department activities

  • Greets and announces guests and visitors; provides parking validation

  • Collects and distributes mail

  • Orders and maintains supplies for department including printer cartridges, paper, etc.

  • Assists with filing and record retention

  • Participates in special projects

  • Performs other administrative tasks as requested and assigned

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred

  • Minimum 4 years administrative assistant experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook calendar and email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical, organizational, written and oral communication and presentation skills required with attention to detail

  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and thrive in a team-oriented environment

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Must possess ability to interface with internal and external personnel and customers

  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and management within areas of responsibility

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management

  • Must be able to work occasional overtime
