Centene Corporation Absence Management Specialist in Clayton, Missouri
Hourly Position Purpose: Assist with the administration and communication of Centene’s absence and disability accommodation programs.
Aid in the administration of leave of absence and time off programs, FMLA, state and local leave of absence ordinances, USERRA, and ADAAA benefits to employees
Document and update absence data into HRIS and time and attendance systems
Develop reports to audit absence data between HRIS and Payroll systems
Support and consult HR on short and long term disability, workers’ compensation, leave of absence, and employee accommodations
Develop responses to absence, disability and standalone accommodation requests aligned with Centene’s HR strategies and regulatory requirements
Conduct investigations for absence and disability requests and recommend action plans
Provide documentation and reports to leave and disability vendors
Identify and coordinate implementation of disability accommodations. Assess for consistency and compliance to FMLA, ADAAA, and local ordinances
Reconcile all data between Centene and vendors
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience.
1+ years of human resources experience.
Knowledge of absence management related concepts and practices such as FMLA and ADAAA.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience in HRIS systems, particularly related to HRMS, disability and payroll systems preferred.
Exposure to Workday preferred.
