Oracle Consulting Delivery Manager | Integration Technologies in Chesterfield, Missouri

This manager-level position is responsible for people management and sales enablement. May also be responsible for project oversight of staff augmentation projects.

Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Responsible for operational metrics and business results for assigned area of responsibility. Typically manages individual contributors and/or entry-level managers. Monitors consultant activities and performance on projects (e.g. read status reports, respond to staffing and availability issues, pro-actively seek out project performance reviews, etc.). May serve as project advisor for moderately complex engagements.

8 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

*Role: Delivery Manager, Integration Technologies *

Reporting to the Consulting Delivery Director,Delivery Manager within Americas Services organization, focused on Integrations and Analytics technologies. Responsible for solution delivery and oversight, resource management/enablement/utilization, delivery excellence and business development.The successful should be able to manage the team of integration architects/developers and be responsible for integration scope of the implementations for both cloud and on-premise projects.

Essential Job Functions include,but are not limited to:

  • Enhance and evolve business development and delivery tools/collateral, including methodology and estimating models

  • Create and implement operational policies and processes to drive utilization, team enablement, key skill/performer retention, deliverable & solution reusability, consistent results, and continuous improvement of delivery quality.

  • Mentor and develop industry experience, application skills, and consulting expertise amongst team

  • Interview & onboard new staff, along with providing continual feedback and formal performance appraisals for team members

  • Provide complex solution delivery and solution oversight on active engagements

  • Partner with project managers to balance resource supply & demand, on active & bid engagements

  • Support consulting sales team with RFP responses, project estimation and resource planning, oral presentations, contract development and negotiation.

  • Design and develop Integration solutions on both Cloud and On-premise platforms which can include Oracle and non-Oracle applications.

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Oracle fusion middleware products. Able to install, configure and develop components using Oracle middleware products.

  • Identify potential risks, problem areas and develop procedures that provide effective workarounds to the problem at hand.

  • Serves as advisory for pre-sales activities around integrations areas as needed.

  • Works with peers and a matrix of other team members in the business unit to improve products and services delivery and to expand the capabilities of services provided to Oracle customers.

_Preferred Qualifications:_

  • People & team management experience

  • Consulting background, preferably with Big x Consultancy (IBM, Accenture, PWC, etc)

  • Full life cycle experience delivering COTS - as an individual contributor and preferably with project management or team lead experience

  • Consulting and/or direct employment in Utility industry.

_Technical Skills_

  • Experience working on large-scale IT implementations involving Middleware integration components.

  • Experience in designing and developing applications on different cloud platforms (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS).

  • Hands on experience with Oracle WebLogic server, Oracle SOA 12C, OSB, BPEL and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).

  • Strong Unix skills and experience with UNIX operating systems like RH Linux, Oracle Linux etc.
