Division Overview Company Power Systems HPS engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology. Position Overview We are looking for an Accounting/Business student to fill this position. Working around 20-30 hours per week during the semester. Duties and Responsibilities * Enter sales tax exemption certificates in Vertex ECM software * Contact customers for updates tax certificates * Prepare weekly freight files using Access/Excel * VLOOKUP of journal entries prepared in SAP to Blackline to test for completeness monthly task * Enter Siemens AP invoices about 1 hour/week * Deductions for AR * Organize new customer setups/pull credit references * Assist with SOX testing June-Dec. only * AFE audits * BI Reports - New Products, Top Customers, etc. pull reports from BI on first business day of the month, format in Excel Skills and Experience Applicants should be Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting majors with at least 12 hours of accounting courses and proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position.
