MERS/MO Goodwill Industries Payment Specialist - SkillUP Program in Cape Girardeau, Missouri

MERS Goodwill is looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to join our MWA Skill UPteam. The position is full-time weekdays, has excellent benefits, and will require the ability to read, interpret and apply State and local policies and follow General Accounting Principles.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Provide monitoring for the SkillUP program.

  • Maintain working knowledge of SkillUP standards and policy to ensure compliance and implementation on a continual basis.

  • Review and approve transportation payments and be a second level review on WRE purchases and incentive payments

  • Track all payments and submit payment requests to accounts payable Maintain consumer files in accordance with Federal, State and local guidelines.

  • Review files and documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Establish and maintain professional/confidential/ethical/helpful relationships with all internal and external customers

  • Maintain consumer demographic tracking Maintain inventory and supplies and ensure timely distribution

  • Document payments in the system

  • Operate office machines including copier, fax, and scanner


  • HS/ GED and 3 years of administrative experience required and direct experience in accounts payable preferred. Associate's or Bachelor?s Degree and Prior SkillUP experience preferred.

  • Must be proficient in Excel and Outlook.

  • Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required.

  • Certifications required (if applicable).

  • Valid drivers license, current auto insurance, and independent transportation required.
