Panasonic Product Manager - Doors and Glass in Bridgeton, Missouri

The Door & Glass (D&G) Product Manager is responsible for supporting product development and lifecycle management in a variety of areas across the organization. This includes leading development for specific D&G products. It also includes working with the D&G management groups in efforts to support product strategies, long range plan (LRP), annual operating plans (AOP), and Business Case development.

The Product Manager assists in the development, execution and tracking of marketing programs for our D&G product lines by collecting, analyzing and reporting marketing data. Responsible for the execution of promotional and advertising campaigns. Additional responsibilities include working with market intelligence and sales to uncover customer needs/wants, launch plans, marketing collateral, training and support on customer specific requirements.

  • Support execution of D&G Strategy, GDP, AOP, and Long-Range Plan

  • Full development and maintenance of Door and Glass product platform

  • Collaborate with Market Research department to collect insights

  • Identify / create product requirements for new design

  • Support MDS brand roll-out

  • Commercialize new platform

  • Support system infrastructure changes that support MDS products

  • Product management lead for NPD and Product Modification projects

  • Collaborate on a cross-functional team

  • Develop and maintain Business Case

  • Collect the VOS (Voice of Sales) /VOC (Voice of Customer) through collaboration with Market Insights department and Sales colleagues

  • Develop Product Requirements for specific D&G projects

  • Project management of NPD & Product Modification efforts

  • Financial Reporting / Market Share Reporting – Develop and maintain a product line dashboard

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in technical or business field. Master’s Degree Preferred

  • 4+ years product management, marketing, business development, or food retail experience along with Bachelor’s degree 2-4 years’ experience with MBA.

  • Knowledge of Hussmann and Hussmann’s products preferred

  • Food Retail Industry experience preferred

  • Strong business and financial acumen including the ability to build business cases

  • Clear and concise communication skills

  • Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks with minimal resources and assistance

  • Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and collaborate with internal and external team players to create solutions to meet client needs

  • Travel up to 25%
